Congressman Calls For Bodies Exhibit Probe

WASHINGTON D.C. (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — A U.S. Congressman is calling on the House Foreign Affairs Committee to probe allegations that the source of preserved human cadavers on display in a number of highly-successful touring museum exhibits may be the black market.

According to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette Rep. Christopher Smith, R-N.J. has asked for a moratorium on the exhibits while investigators look into precisely where the bodies came from after a report by the ABC News show "20/20" made allegations that some of the bodies may have been Chinese prisoners. And its not just the feds – New York Attorney General Andrew Cuomo has also launched an investigation into the exhibits.

The company behind the exhibit in question, Premier Exhibitions have said that they were appalled at the allegations and would fully cooperate with investigators, the Post-Gazette reported.

The exhibits in question feature human bodies that have gone through a plasticination process, posed and cut away to reveal the interiors. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
