Is 2010 A No-Go For All Points West?

NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — It's not looking good for a 2010 return for Goldenvoice's All Points West Festival as organizers have said they are unsure if they will stage the event this year and that they festival may need an 'overhaul' to continue.

2010 would mark the third year for the 3-day festival, staged in years past during August at Liberty State Park in New Jersey by AEG affiliate Goldenvoice, the same folks that produce the highly-successful Coachella.

"There is no question that our biggest challenge is finding suitable headliners, and it has been more challenging this year than in the past," AEG's Mark Shulman told the New York Times "No final determination of any kind has been made for 2010"

While AEG may still be mulling their options, the window for the successful return of the event is quickly closing. A number of major booking agents told the Times that as of yet, no artists have been booked for the event.

"It seems more and more clear these days that a headlining artist is a necessity to run a productive and successful festival," Frank Riley, of High Road Touring, told the Times. "Without a clear headliner in place at this point, it seems unlikely that the festival will take place in August 2010."

If All Points doesn't turn up this year, it will join the august ranks of a number of high profile festivals that also have been put on hiatus this year, including Live Nations' Pemberton Festival and AEG's Rothbury. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
