The Importance Of Being 'Ernst'


NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — MSG Entertainment (MSGE) has named Phil Ernst as senior vice president, special projects and events. Bob Shea, executive vice president, bookings, MSG Entertainment, made the announcement.

Ernst previously served as senior vice president, touring productions for MSG Entertainment. In his new role, Ernst will oversee all aspects of MSGE’s development and execution of residency engagements and MSGE’s special event business at all MSG venues.

Ernst will be responsible for all aspects of the booking process for resident shows and to identify new opportunities for non-traditional entertainment events to take place at all MSG venues including theme based series’, speaking engagements, live entertainment productions and other special projects.

Before joining MSGE, Mr. Ernst was Senior Vice President and Lead Booker for Live Nation in New York where his responsibilities included overseeing the bookings at the Nikon Theater at Jones Beach and PNC Bank Arts Center in New Jersey.  He also produced shows at major New York venues including MSG, Radio City Music Hall, Izod Center, Nassau Coliseum, Citifield, and Carnegie Hall.

Prior to that, Ernst was President for Ocesa Presents based in New York, a dominant concert promoter in Latin America.  He joined Ocesa as Senior Vice President producing concerts and events throughout Latin American with a focus on Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay and Chile, according to the press release.
