NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — The Used frontman Bert McCracken has been ordered by doctors to undergo surgery on his vocal cords, forcing the band to cancel their summer tour dates.
Doctors discovered a node on his vocal cords and have recommended immediate treatment and rest for the next month.
The band cancelled all shows for June and July, including a string of dates on the Van’s Warped Tour.
Doctors told McCracken that he should expect a full recovery, and will be able to sing again in five weeks.
In a statement, McCracken’s bandmate Quinn Allman said, “The band is incredibly disappointed but we promise to return to touring in the USA in early September.” –by CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
