SÃO PAULO, Brazil (CelebrityAccess) — After a two-year run, the Brazilian edition of SFX's Tomorrowland Festival announced that it would be going on hiatus.
In a post on their website, a rep for the festival wrote:
It’s with heavy hearts that we inform you that Tomorrowland Brasil will not take place in 2017.
As always, Tomorrowland wants to give you, the People of Tomorrow, the best and most unique experience. Unfortunately, due to external factors, we can no longer create the right environment to host a Tomorrowland Festival in Brazil.
We will do our utmost best to come back as soon as possible since the love and energy Brazil gave to Tomorrowland was amazing.
At the same time, Tomorrowland’s US outlet, TomorrowWorld may also be facing a second off year. The festival, held in Georgia, faced considerable challenges and criticism after a muddy 2015 and announced that the event would be on hiatus in 2016. Now, another EDM-oriented music festival in Georgia, the Imagine Music Festival, has announced dates for the weekend previously used by TomorrowWorld. – Staff Writers
