CLEVELAND, OH (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — SMG has named Ron Willner as the new General Manager of the Wolstein Center at Cleveland State University, taking over the position previously held by Joe Mazur. Mazur has been promoted to regional vice president of SMG.
Willner joined the Wolstein Center at its opening in 1991, beginning his tenure as the Event Services Manager. He then served as the facility’s Director of Arena Administration from 1992 to 1999, until SMG took over management of the venue. He was then promoted to the Director of Operations and Event Management, and most recently served as Assistant General Manager.
“Since Ron has been the Assistant General Manager, he will be able to easily transition into the General Manager position, and continue to provide top notch booking, marketing and sales, operations consultation, and the experience to meet any and all challenges.
