Glitches Derail Splendour Tix Sale

SYDNEY, Australia (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Organizers for the Australian festival Splendour In The Grass, were forced to postpone their initial on-sale date for festival tickets due to technical snafus.

According to the Sydney Morning Herald, glitches in both online banking company Westpac and ticketing company Moshtix systems, left many punters unable to purchase tickets for several hours, prompting festival organizers to pull the plug.

Event producers Jessica Ducrou and Paul Piticco told the Music Network: "We have decided to suspend all ticket sales at 9pm tonight so that all systems can be triple checked before relaunching tomorrow morning at 9am.

"We understand how frustrating it was for so many people this morning.

"We did expect a ticket rush but none of us expected what happened this morning and unfortunately it was all beyond our control.

"We were very concerned that all those people who hold Westpac and affiliated cards were disadvantaged today as well and that has contributed to this decision."

Tickets went back on sale on May 5th. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
