ORLANDO, FL (CelebrityAccess) — Rapper Mystikal returned to the stage for the first time after spending 18 months in jail on rape and kidnapping charges.

The Louisiana rapper, whose real name is Michael Tyler, appeared in a surprise cameo at Funk Fest in Orlando.

According to TMZ, Mystikal was welcomed on stage by Doug E. Fresh and performed two of his hits “Move B*tch” and “Shake Ya A**” for the crowd of largely receptive fans.

Mystikal was released from prison in Louisiana after he put together financing for a $3 million bond. Per TMZ, at least some of the money came from the advance for a new record deal.

Mystikal was jailed in connection with an incident at a Shreveport casino in October 2016 which led to him being charged with rape and kidnapping.

He has not been convicted in connection with the 2016 charges.

However, in 2003, Mystikal was sentenced for six years in state prison charged with sexual battery and extortion after pleading guilty to forcing his hairdresser to perform sexual acts on him. He did the full six years and was released on January 2010.
