LOS ANGELES, CA (CelebrityAccess) — YOLA Fest has a new name and new dates after running into production issues. The festival, now named YOLA DÍA, will take place on Sunday, August 18th.
The festival will take place at its previously announced location at LA Historic Park, and the newly-announced lineup features Lykke Li, Cat Power, SOPHIE, Courtney Love & The Chateau Band, Megan Thee Stallion, Kelsey Lu, Empress Of and CupcakKe.
The festival, which is open to people 21 and older, will also feature a selection of local food vendors, and activations, the details of which will be announced in the coming months.
Curated by Yola Jimenez, Lykke Li, and Gina Correll Aglietti, the founders of YOLA Mezcal a female-run mezcal tequila brand from Oaxaca, Mexico, YOLA is dedicated to the economic independence of the women in Oaxaca by providing them with steady work, fair wages and direct pay.
Concordantly, festival organizers announced a partnership with PLUS1, to donate a portion of proceeds from every ticket sold to The Downtown Women’s Center in Los Angeles.
The Downtown Women’s Center (DWC) is the only organization in Los Angeles focused exclusively on serving and empowering women facing homelessness and formerly homeless women.
Ticket refunds are available at the point of purchase.
