TALLINN, Estonia (CelebrityAccess) — Delfi Tickets, a subsidiary of the Estonian media conglomerate Ekspress Grupp, announced the acquisition of a 100% stake in the Latvian digital ticketing service SIA Biļešu Paradīze.
Following the acquisition, Delfi will seek to expand into new areas of business in the region and expand SIA Biļešu Paradīze digital footprint in the Latvian market, the company said.
SIA Biļešu Paradīze operates the electronic ticket platform bilesuparadize.lv as well as numerous box offices for various entertainment events around the Eastern European nation and is one of the two leading ticketing services in Latvia. In 2018, SIA Biļešu Paradīze sold tickets for more than 7,000 events.
SIA Biļešu Paradīze’s primary founders, Jānis Daube, and Ēriks Naļivaiko, will continue in active management roles at the company, but neither Ekspress Grupp or SIA Biļešu Paradīze disclosed financial details about the acquisition.
A/S Delfi, which Ekspress Grupp acquired in 2007, manages the most popular Latvian news portal delfi.lv with more than 800,000 monthly active users.
