Amsterdam Dance Event To Focus On LIVE Side

The Amsterdam Dance Event (October 17, 18 and 19) is Europe's leading event for the dance industry (records and live). This year the ADE will feature a special focus on the live side of dance music: the Live Dance Music Conference (LDMC) with meetings from Yourope (Europe's outdoor festival organisation), the international managers federation IMMF and a meeting from Network Europe, the independent meeting place for agents, promoters and bookers.

The seventh Amsterdam Dance Event Electronic music conference, organised by Conamus and Dutch author rights organisation Buma/Stemra expects 1400 participating professionals.

The ADE organisation has secured the co-operation of panelists such as Eric Morand (F Comm, f), Dominic Smith (Ninja Tune/Big Dada, uk), Horst Weidenmuller (Studio K7, d), Andy Bradley (BMG, uk), Frederic Rebet (Naïve, f), Klaus Maeck (Freibank, d), Andre de Raaf (Strengholt, nl), Darren Hughes (Homelands, uk) and others. Mute Records founder Daniel Miller will speak at the ADE about his experiences in the music industry. Panel subjects for the conference include Cash for Credibility (how to stay sincere while making a living in the music industry), Remixes and Video (electronic music in films, commercials and video), Distribution, Internet & Marketing and Making the Most of your Copyright (how to make money without selling records). Other features are panels on the Nostalgia Boom in Electronic Music (does electronic music really need to borrow from the past in order to move forward) and territory focus meetings on the USA and southern Europe.
