(CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Former Pogues frontman Shane MacGowan will play a mini-residency of four Sundays evenings in January and February at Ronnie Scott's jazz club in London, England. The month of Sunday concerts may be recorded for DVD.
MacGowan previously announced that he would perform eight concerts with his reformed Pogues in December. After he left the Pogues, he formed The Popes, which perform infrequently but has recorded a new album with them.
"After a lull a year ago," said his spokesperson, "he's having a creative surge. He's on the ball at the moment.” – Bob Grossweiner and Jane Cohen
