SARATOGA SPRINGS (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — The Saratoga Performing Arts Center will host a highly anticipated grand reopening celebration on May 26th, showcasing the newly revamped amphitheater following the completion of its $2.1 million renovation.
The first major upgrade for the outdoor venue in its 41-year history is well under way and is expected to be completed by early May. New features include padded seats and a 200-patron capacity increase, to a total of 5,248 guests.
“It is an achievement that symbolizes our rich history, as well as our commitment to SPAC’s future,” SPAC President and Executive Director Marcia White told the Albany Times-Union.
Other improvements include a freshly-painted interior, pedestrian upgrades and new lighting. New acoustic sound panels and canvas rain screens are also being added.
