TOMCAT Sets Dates for Hoist & Rigging/Advanced Workshops

(CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Dates have been set for TOMCAT’s Hoist & Rigging Workshop for March 1-4, 2006 at TOMCAT's facilities in Midland, Texas.

The annual school includes workshops pertaining to hoist, rigging, truss, and fall protection taught by some of the top experts in the industry: one and a half days each of hoist motor instruction with Don Dimitroff of Columbus McKinnon and
rigging instruction with Rocky Paulson of Stage Rigging Inc.; and a half day each of fall protection instruction with Morgan Neff of Mine Safety Appliances and truss instruction with Keith Bohn, design department manager for TOMCAT USA.

Registration costs ($725 – early registration – early January; $800 – regular registration) includes five nights of hotel accommodation, lunches and dinners and instruction.

After its successful debut this year, the Advanced Workshop will make its second appearance. This two day workshop, March 3-4, covers a variety of topics on hoist motors and truss design and is meant for those who have already completed TOMCAT’s four- day workshop and/or those with extensive experience working with motors and truss in the field.

Bohn will also teach one day of advanced truss instruction (including live demos of truss destruction) and Dimitroff will teach one day of advanced hoist instruction (including trouble shooting scenarios and load testing). Registration costs for this advanced instruction is $450 (early registration – early January) and $500 (regular registration), including three nights of hotel accommodation, lunches and dinners.

Registration is expected to open this fall. For additional information or to register, contact Lisa Jebsen at (432) 694-7070 or ljebsen@tomcatusa.com. — Jane Cohen and Bob Grossweiner
