CHICAGO (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — A publicist for creative rock band The New Pornographers has informed CelebrityAccess that the group’s bass player, John Collins, suffered an appendix attack after the band’s show at Chicago’s Metro nightclub on Thursday night.
The band was forced to cancel the remaining two shows of their North American tour, the Friday, October 21st show at Madison, Wisconsin’s Barrymore Theater, and the Saturday, October 22nd show at First Avenue in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
According to the band's agent Ali Giampino, Collins is "recovering at Northwestern Hospital and is on the mend. His appendix didn't burst…but it was removed early [Friday] morning." –by CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
