Frankie Valli Sues Former 'Jersey Boys' Cast Members Over Tour

NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Former Four Seasons member Franie Valli has filed a lawsuit against 6 former "Jersey Boys" cast members, alleging that they are infringing on copyrights with their tour entitled "The Boys In Concert" which is currently on the road.

According to the New York Post, the suit alleges that the former cast members are stealing songs, stage elements and copyrighted logos in an effort to give their touring show the semblance of an authorized road company for the show.

"Beginning with low-profile performances of songs from Jersey Boys, defendants have now increased the scale of their performances as The Boys to the point that they now more boldly flaunt their similarity to the production," the suit said.

The suit claims that the show has already been performed in New York, Los Angeles and Atlantic City with 19 additional dates on the books.

Valli and another former Four Seasons singer-songwriter Robert Gaudio, and playwrights Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice are seeking a court order to put an end to the tour. They are also seeking $150,000 in damages for each o the ten songs performed in the allegedly unauthorized show. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
