FAIRFAX, VA (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Rapper Wiz Halifa has filed a lawsuit against promoter I.M.P. over an alleged last minute cancellation.
According to TMZ, Khalifa claims that IMP had promised $85,000 and a portion of the ticket sales for a show at George Mason University, but the rapper says he was not paid after the show was canceled at the last minute.
However, Khalifa is seeking $1 million in damages over the alleged cancelation, claiming that the incident has damaged his reputation.
A spokesperson for IMP did not respond to a request for comment but told the New York Post that Khalifa's ticket sales for the 10,000 capacity arena were not at all impressive and that due to the lack of a contract, they dispute the claimed debt. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
