PERTH, Australia (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — The West Australian city of Perth is hoping to lure international entertainment and sports with a new $250 million arena to be built in the heart of the city.
Perth Arena will host events such as the Hopman Cup tennis after it is finished in 2009, offering 12,000 seats for sporting events and up to 14,000 for concerts.
West Australian Premier Alan Carpenter unveiled the latest design for the project last week, after plans were revised to include more corporate seating.
