D.C. Sports & Entertainment Commission Retains Global Spectrum

WASHINGTON (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — In an effort to improve the customer experience and the playing conditions at Robert F. Kennedy Stadium, the District of Columbia Sports & Entertainment Commission has named Global Spectrum as consultants on operating and managing the 45-year-old, 56,000-seat multipurpose stadium.

Global Spectrum was selected to oversee field conversions from soccer to baseball and back as well as consulting on various aspects of the facility, including event scheduling, cleaning, security, preseason preparation and marketing for the stadium. RFK Stadium is the home of the Washington Nationals of Major League Baseball and the DC United of the Major Soccer League.

"Global Spectrum's dedication to perfection and their ability to make things happen quickly impressed the Commission," said the Commission's Allen Lew. "Global Spectrum has an outstanding reputation for running some of the most successful facilities in the industry. We are very fortunate to have them work with us in Washington."

"RFK Stadium is one of the most recognized stadiums in the industry," said Global Spectrum Chief Operating Officer John Page. "We will work closely with the Commission, the Nationals and the United to continue to make RFK Stadium a destination for residents throughout the District to enjoy family events, sporting attractions, concerts and more."
