LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Nearly half a year after the merger completed, the layoffs and staff reductions at William Morris Endeavor are over, but not before a last round of agents were released.
According to Billboard, several WME agents were released from the company's Miami office, including Jeremy Norkin, leaving Michel Vega, the head of WME's head of Latin music as the only agent focused on Latin music at that office.
Now that the layoffs have ended (for now), the focus at WME has shifted to "integration." According to Deadline Hollywood's Nikki Finke WME head Ari Emmanuel told staffers at a meeting that each major client will now have multiple agents assigned, drawn from the former ranks of both firms and be covered in every area.
This would seem to make for a very dynamic environment at the firm and insiders told Finke that agents are "terrified" about who will be assigned to their client's teams.
Finke also reported that WME has delayed bonuses this year. Endeavor had traditionally paid bonuses in October but WME will distribute said bonuses in December, more in line with the clock used by the former William Morris Agency. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
