LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) Tonight’s MusiCares Person Of The Year event, the unofficial launch of the weekend events to Sunday’s Grammy show, will be hosted by Little Big Town, which will be managing a truly star-studded event honoring Dolly Parton.

The invite-only fundraiser for MusiCares, the signature health and human services charity founded by the Recording Academy, will take place at the Los Angeles Convention, next door to the Staples Center, which is hosting the 61st Annual Grammy Awards Sunday night.

Some of the scheduled performers are Garth Brooks & Trisha Yearwood, Miley Cyrus, Don Henley, Shawn Mendes, Willie Nelson, Katy Perry, P!nk, Mark Ronson, Chris Stapleton, Kacey Musgraves and Norah Jones. Newly announced performers include Margo Price, Jennifer Nettles and Brandi Carlile. Among it all will be one of the quickest-rising stars of the past year, Lauren Daigle.

The Person of the Year gala will start with a reception and silent auction offering luxury items, VIP experiences and celebrity memorabilia, according to CMT. Last year, MusiCares provided more than $6.5 million to approximately 8,600 members of the music industry, its largest number of clients served and dollars distributed in a year in the charity’s history.

Past recent honorees include Fleetwood Mac, Tom Petty, Carole King, Lionel Richie and Bob Dylan, with the gala launching in 1991 with David Crosby as the recipient. Musicares was created in 1989 to safeguard the health and well-being of all music people. It offers confidential preventative recover and emergency programs to address financial, medical and personal health issues.
