While comedienne Paula Poundstone completes the final 55 days of her in-patient alcohol rehab program, she can not perform her act, ruled a Santa Monica, Calif. judge on Oct. 10. Poundstone pleaded no contest on Sept. 12 to child endangerment.
Poundstone received five years probation and was ordered to perform 200 hours of community service, pay a $1,000 fine and restitution including child therapy costs.
Poundstone was also ordered to attend Alcoholics Anonymous meetings and a child abuse prevention program, receive a year of counseling and undergo random drug and alcohol testing. She was also barred from ever becoming a foster parent again.
