QUEBEC CITY (CelebrityAccess) — Live Nation and their Ticketmaster division announced that they've struck a long-term contract with Quebecor Media Sports & Entertainment Group for their NHL-ready Arena in Quebec City.
The multi-faceted agreement will see Ticketmaster providing ticketing services for the venue and Live Nation presenting concert and entertainment fare at the arena.
Currently under construction, the $400 million, 20,000-capacity, multi-use indoor arena is expected to debut in September, 2015. While the arena currently has no NHL team lined up as a tenant, CEO Pierre Karl Peladeau is said to be seeking to acquire a team, through relocation or expansion of the league.
“We are thrilled to provide music fans in Quebec with the best music programming available partnering with the world’s leading live entertainment company, Live Nation Concerts,” said Benoît Robert, president and CEO of Quebecor Media Sports & Entertainment Group. “Ticketmaster’s significant investment into their ticketing platform provides us the best possible event marketing and ticketing solution available. Their continued innovation will enable us to create and maintain relationships with fans across our market.” – Staff Writers
