CHICAGO, Illinois (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) – The Metropolitan Pier and Exhibition Authority (MPEA) has tapped venue management firm SMG to operate the McCormick Place Complex.
McCormick Place Complex, consisting of 9 million square feet across 6 different buildings is the largest convention center in the U.S.
Also announced today was the re-appointment of David Causton as General Manager of the facility.
Causton has held the position since 2004, when The Metropolitan Pier and Exposition Authority appointed him to the role. Prior to his tenure as general manager, Causton served as the facility's assistant general manager since 1999, following five years managing conventions and special events for Navy Pier.
