MISSOULA, Montana (CelebrityAccess) — Indie rock band The Decemberists have wrapped the second edition of their curated Travelers’ Rest music festival, reporting sell-out crowds for both days.
The festival, which took place on August 4th and 5th at the recently renovated and expanded Big Sky Brewing Company Amphitheater in Missoula, MT, featured two unique sets from the Decemberists.
The festival also featured performances from seventeen different acts, including Death Cab For Cutie, Jeff Tweedy, Mavis Staples, Tune-Yards, Whitney, Parquet Courts, Tinariwen, I’m With Her, Waxahatchee and Lucy Dacus.
The festival was produced by Knitting Factory Entertainment, who began promoting at the Big Sky Brewing Company Amphitheater in 2011.
“Amazing talent and circumstances collaborated to give us the perfect weekend: great performances, a breathtaking setting and a perfect crowd of perfect size. A special thank you to The Decemberists for their artistic leadership and partnership,” Knitting Factory’s Mark Dinerstein said in a presser.
The Traveler’s Rest festival came in the midst of a world tour by the Decemberists, which will see them perform at 20 dates in the U.S. between now and October before they head across the Atlantic for additional dates in Europe, the UK, and Ireland
Knitting Factory Presents’ next festival programs include The Fifth Annual Desert Daze Music Festival featuring taking place at Moreno Beach, Lake Perris, CA October 12-14.
