A Good Year For Stubhub

SAN FRANCISCO (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Secondary ticket market website stubhub.com has reported that their ticket sales for 2006 have nearly doubled over the previous year.

Stubhub provides a safe forum for people to buy and sell tickets to events at fair market prices and has become the industry leader in second-market sales. According to StubHub, fans bought and sold tickets for more than 7,300 hundred events, facilitated by their service.

"Fans have long been frustrated with tickets evaporating within minutes during a 10 a.m. Saturday morning on-sale and realize that StubHub is a solution to sell outs, buying the leftover nosebleeds behind the stage or dealing with scalpers in the parking lot," said Jeff Fluhr, founder and CEO of StubHub. "Fans can find a wide selection of tickets at StubHub where choice is prevalent and every transaction is guaranteed."

Some of StubHubs top touring artists this year included: The Rolling Stones (A Bigger Bang Tour), Madonna (Confessions Tour), Billy Joel (My Lives Tour), Soul 2 Soul, feat. Tim McGraw and Faith Hill (Soul2Soul II Tour), Jimmy Buffett (Party at the End of the World Tour) Barbra Streisand (Streisand: The Tour), Dave Matthews Band and Bon Jovi.
