LONDON (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — U2 Frontman's Bono's back injury, which led to the the rescheduling of much of the band's summer tour, will cost the London insurance industry a cool $17 million.
According to Insurance Insider, tour promoter Live Nation and the band's contingency insurance policy came in very handy after Bono underwent emergency back surgery to treat injuries sustained during rehearsal.
The injury left Bono nearly paralyzed, temporarily, and forced the band to postpone numerous dates, including their North American leg and key European festival dates such as Glastonbury. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
