LEEDS, UK (CelebrityAccess) — Veteran promoter Harvey Goldsmith has announced plans for the launch of a new music festival in Leeds.
The OnRoundhay Festival is aimed at being a family music and food festival intended as a sister event to to London`s On Blackheath.
The event is slated for September 17 in Leed's Roundhay Park, with a lineup that includes James, Primal Scream, Wolf Alice, Max Jury and The Haggis Horns. The festival will mark the first musical event for the park in a decade. Previously, Goldsmith has promoted shows by artists such as U2, Michael Jackson and Madonna in the park.
“I am really pleased to be back presenting a show in Roundhay Park. 3 years ago we created with John Lewis a brand new style of Festival called OnBlackheath, this was universally received by artists, performers, and the public," Goldsmith said in a press statement.
"We are delighted to be able to extend this brand by producing the first OnRoundhay Festival with John Lewis as our partner. The event will follow the same format as OnBlackheath, with fantastic music, great curated food and lots of activities for kids of all ages. I would like to thank Leeds City Council for their help in making OnRoundhay happen," he added. – Staff Writers
