BALTIMORE (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Hammerjacks, once a Baltimore icon of heavy metal and rock concerts, closed last week after the sale of its building to developers.
The 1,200-capacity club, which was reincarnated in a two-story brick building in 2000, never regained the legendary status held by its predecessor. In recent years, DJ’s spinning dance club and hip-hop music were more common than live bands.
It is expected that the block of buildings that includes the club will be torn down to make room for housing and retail shops. –by CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
