SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (CelebrityAccess) — The amphitheater at Saratoga Performing Arts Center is getting a much needed refresh of its lawn with a full replacement of the venue's sod.
According to the Associated Press, the decision to replace the sod comes after a yearlong effort to reseed the lawn that proved to be unsuccesssful.
The lawn sees heavy use each summer during the venue's outdoor concert season, which runs from May through early September. The heavy use has left the lawn trampled into bare dirt by mid-summer in recent years.
The new lawn will be ready to welcome fans for the 2016 season, which coincides with SPAC's 50th anniversary. – Staff Writers
