NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Veteran agent Robert Rowland has become the latest member of the team at Red Entertainment where he will serve as Director of Booking for the Northeast Territory. Rowland brings to Red, an impressive resume of booking casinos, festivals, theaters and major national tours for such artist as Bo Diddley, Wilson Pickett, Belinda Carlisle, Levon Helm the list goes on.
Rowland got his start working at Supreme Artists, booking colleges and later joined TCI (Talent Consultants International). Early in his career he worked with the legendary Connie DeNave at Connie DeNave Management, and from there started his own management company where he managed Grammy award winning singer/songwriter Julie Gold, and rock bands The Ratters and Catholic Girls and others. From there he became a talent buyer for several well known New York clubs, including The Cat Club, Nirvana and the Bitter End.
Red Entertainment prexy Carlos Keyes says, "Robert's experience and wealth of knowledge is the perfect addition to our growing company. He has a great passion for the business with an amazing track record of success. He adds a lot to the Red Entertainment team." Of his joining Red, Rowland says, "I like that Red is looking to expand the musical horizon and still be a great hands on boutique agency. There's a terrific team spirit here that is missing from many agencies. With the growth of so many impersonal mega agencies and the one size fits all approach too many artists get lost in the mix. That will never happen at Red, we give them "old school" attention, that's why our roster keeps expanding."
Rowland will be based in the New York office and can be reached at 212-563-7575 Email: robert @redentertainment.com – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
