Siren Music Festival Attracts 150,000 People


(CelebrityAccess News Service) — The Village Voice 3rd Annual Siren Music Festival at the boardwalk in Coney Island, NY on July 19 drew a record 150,000 music fans to the annual free event with its standout international and national lineup. Last year, the Voice estimated the attendance at 55,000 while 2001's debut was around 50,000.

Performing throughout the day, Modest Mouse, Idlewild, The Datsuns, Hot Hot Heat, Sahara Hotnights, Radio 4, Ted Leo/Pharmacists, !!!, The Kills, Northern State, The Dirtbombs, The Pattern, Oneida, and The Witnesses drew fans from all over the country to the two outdoor stages located on West 10th Street and Stillwell Avenue in historic Coney Island.
