Universal Music UK Moving In 2017

LONDON (VIP NEWS) — Universal Music is moving its UK headquarters from High Street Kensington to a new 177,000 sq. ft. building in King’s Cross.

Universal will shuffle its 1,000 employees — including teams from UMPG and See Tickets — to the building a few months after it is completed in mid-2017.

Universal is reportedly set to occupy the entire 10-story building, which will have a rooftop garden, a “destination” restaurant, balconies on every level and special access for bicycle commuters.

"Kings Cross is fast emerging as a creative hub for London," Universal`s chairman and UK chief executive, David Joseph, said in a statement. “It`s going to be an energizing place to work and feels like a natural home for Universal Music with many opportunities for collaboration and inspiration literally on our doorstep."

The label’s current neighborhood is also home to its major label rivals Sony Music and Warner Music –According to Billboard
