Nicki Thomaier has been promoted to vice president & controller of ASCAP, The Performing Rights Group. Based in New York, Thomaier previously served as assistant vice president & Controller and will continue to report directly to ASCAP Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer Bob Candela.
The promotion reflects Thomaier's many contributions to the Accounting & Finance operations. In her role, she has responsibility for Accounting, Budgeting, Financial Reporting, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Revenue Accounting and Taxes. Most recently she has streamlined the annual budget process significantly reducing processing time; implemented a new payroll system and reengineered the associated payroll processes and procedures. Thomaier was also a member of the team whose efforts resulted in the first-ever live webcast by ASCAP of its 2005 General Annual Membership meeting.

Thomaier began her professional career with Arthur Andersen. She then worked in the healthcare industry as controller of the Clinical Practice Management Plan at the University Medical Center at Stony Brook.
