NEW YORK, (CelebrityAccess) — BET Networks announced that announced actress and comedian Regina Hall has been recruited to host the 2019 “BET Awards.”
Hall, who will be hosting the awards show for the first time in 2019, as the show marks its 19th year. Alongside of her hosting duties, Hall has also nominated for an award in the Best Actress category.
Hall is best known for her breakout role in the comedy movie Girls Trip, and the “Scary Movie” horror spoof franchise. As well, she recently became the first African-American woman to win “Best Actress” by the New York Film Critics Circle for her role in “Support the Girls.”
Most recently, Hall served as an executive producer on the Universal movie “Little” and is also featured alongside Don Cheadle, and Andrew Rannells in the premium cable network series “Black Monday.”
The 2019 “BET Awards” will air LIVE on Sunday, June 23 at 8 pm ET from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, CA on BET. Internationally, the show will simulcast for the first time on BET Africa at 2am CAT on June 24th, followed by international broadcasts in the UK on June 24th at 9:00pm BST, South Korea on June 25th at 9pm KST and in France on June 25th at 9pm CEST.
