Black Veil Brides Announce Split With Bassist Andy Purdy Ahead Of Tour

(CelebrityAccess) — The rock band Black Veil Brides announced that they have parted ways with longtime bassist Ashley Purdy.

“Black Veil Brides and Ashley Purdy have mutually agreed to part ways. We have enjoyed a wonderful run together and both parties wish one another continued success moving forward,” the band said in a statement released via social media on Friday.

Purdy joined the Brides in 2009, stepping in for Rob Thomas and performed on all five of the band’s studio albums.

Purdy’s exit from the group comes on the same day the Brides announced plans for an upcoming double-headlining North American tour with In This Moment.

The tour kicks off on March 24th at the House of Blues in Orlando and concludes on May 17th at Red Rocks in Morrison, Colorado.
