BRUSSELS, Belgium (CelebrityAccess) — Belgian mobile operator Base is teaming up with Spotify to offer an innovative way to greet festival-goers at EDM events.
Base is hoping to use an aerial vehicle, dubbed The Party Drone, as a tool to promote the availability of a discounted edition of Spotify available through the Base mobile phone service.
The drone, comprised of a lightweight carbon fiber case, housing an amp, three speakers producing 450 watts and an LED light show, will play tracks from a playlist selected by users when they purchase festival tickets.
When a particular ticket is scanned at the festival's gate, the Party Drone will call up the user's selected track and play it for them, replete with lights, as it escorts the ticket holder into the festival.
