LAS VEGAS (CelebrityAccess) — Global Gaming Expo's annual Casino Entertainment Awards will this year honor Grammy Hall of Famer Brenda Lee and Mohegan Sun Senior Vice President of Entertainment Tom Cantone with Casino Entertainment Legend Awards.
Lee, AKA Little Miss Dynamite, is known for hits such as "I'm Sorry" and "Sweet Nothin's" and was one of the first pop stars to break in a big way internationally. Lee is a member Rock and Roll, Country Music and Rockabilly Halls of Fame and has been the recipient of Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award.
Cantone, the long-serving head of Mohegan Sun's entertainment operations, played a key role in revolutionizing the casino entertainment business, helping the industry transition its entertainment offerings from a moribund destination for declining celebrities to a thriving business that attracts major international touring artists.
The awards will be presented during the Casino Entertainment Awards gala on Wed., Sept. 28, 2016, 6:00 pm at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas. – Staff Writers
