NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess) — Fresh from the smashing success of their "Fare Thee Well" reunion shows, the three former members of the Grateful Dead are teaming up with John Mayer to launch a new band.
Dead & Company, comprised of Mickey Hart, Bill Kreutzmann, Bob Weir and John Mayer will make its debut with a performance at New York's Madison Square Garden on Halloween. The band will also feature Allman Brothers bassist Oteil Burbridge and RatDog keyboardist Jeff Chiment.
In a press statement, Bill Kreutzmann said, "Fare Thee Well proved to me that I'm not done exploring new rhythmic territory with Mickey — I'm recommending that everyone puts their helmet on, because we are going to blast our way into some serious drums and space. And with Mayer riding shotgun with Weir — we're in good company, so to speak." – Staff Writers
