LONDON (VIP NEWS) — Rita Ora has signed a worldwide recording contract with Atlantic Records UK.
The British-born artist signed with Roc Nation’s label in the US back in 2008 – a recording contract which finally came to an end in May this year when Ora settled with Jay Z’s company following a mutual lawsuit.
Interesting to note that Ora’s new deal is the first high profile artist signing to Warner from First Access Entertainment – Ora manager Sarah Stennett’s JV with WMG owner Len Blavatnik.
Ora has only released one studio album in her career: 2012’s self-titled LP reached No.1 in the UK and went on to become a platinum seller.
She has also released three UK No.1 singles as a lead artist, and another two as a featured act.
Atlantic says that Ora, managed by Turn First’s Sarah Stennett, is now returning to the studio and working on new material for release later this year.
