AEG Heads To China For Ticketing And Naming Rights

SHANGHAI, China (CelebrityAccess) – Damai, China’s ticketing company, has entered into a long-term agreement with AEG China to become the new naming rights partner of Damai Center, the sports and entertainment arena in Dalian, China formerly known as Dalian Arena. The agreement, which also establishes Damai as a Founding Partner of Shanghai’s Mercedes-Benz Arena, was negotiated in connection with AEG Global Partnerships and represents the first-ever naming rights partnership between a ticketing company and leading entertainment venue in China.

Damai Center was originally designed and built to host key events for the 12th China National Games in 2013. With 18,000 seats and 40 VIP suites, the multi-purpose venue hosts and presents top entertainment and sporting events, and features both Chinese and world-renowned artists, athletes and teams. The list of stars that have performed at the venue includes the likes of Justin Bieber, The Backstreet Boys, Andy Lau and Jolin Tsai.

In addition to the Dalian partnership, Damai also becomes a Founding Partner and the Exclusive Ticketing Partner at another AEG China operated venue: Mercedes-Benz Arena in Shanghai, China. Both venues are part of AEG Facilities’ worldwide network of more than 120 preeminent arenas, stadiums, theaters, clubs and convention centers.

“As the industry leader in China providing the highest levels of customer satisfaction and an increasingly popular entertainment platform, this partnership is groundbreaking for our company. We look forward to connecting with millions of fans at both Damai Center and Mercedes-Benz Arena,” said Xu Wei, Damai COO. “At both venues, we have an unyielding focus on the fan experience and together with our partners at AEG, we aim to create two of the most fan friendly arenas in the world.”
