(CelebrityAccess) — After his musical partner Walter Becker's death earlier this month, Steely Dan co-founder, keyboardist and lead vocalist Donald Fagen promised fans that he'd “keep the music we created together alive as long as I can with the Steely Dan band.”
Now, just a week later, he's working on keeping that promise with the announcement of the band's first tour since Becker's passing. In October, the band will hit the road for a brief, eight-show run in North America.
The outing kicks off on Oct. 13th with a show at WinStar World Casino and Resort in Thackerville, Oklahoma and runs through Oct. 25th when Steely Dan performs at the MGM National Harbor at National Harbor in Maryland.
It will be their first live shows since the Classic West and East festivals in July, where veteran Steely Dan member Larry Carlton filled in for Becker, who was too ill to perform at the two shows.
