NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess) — APA partner and senior vice president of comedy Jackie Knobbe, and talent/comedy agent Max Burgos have appointed to serve as co-heads of the agency’s comedy touring department.
Mike Berkowitz, who served as APA’s head of comedy since 2011, will be departing the agency when his contract expires at the end of the year, the agency reported.
The New York-based Knobbe, who was named a partner at APA in 2015, is no stranger to the department and has served as a senior vice president of comedy since 2009. Max Burgos joined APA’s talent representation team in in 2012, has since focused on crossover talent and expanding the agency’s comedy touring roster.
APA’s comedy roster includes Tiffany Haddish, Lewis Black, Leslie Jones, Eddie Izzard, Tim Minchin, Jimmy Carr, and The Daily Show correspondents Ronny Chieng and Dulce Sloan, to name a few.
