American indie rockers The Decemberists are teaming up with Knitting Factory presents to host The Traveler’s Rest, a curated music festival in Montana this August.
Set for August 4 & 5th at the Big Sky Brewing Company in Missoula, Montana, the festival will feature a lineup that includes the Decemberists, as well as Death Cab For Cutie, Mavis Staples, Jeff Tweedy, The tUnE-yArDs, and Whitney.
Other bands on the bill include Parquet Courts, Tinariwen, I’m With Her, Waxahatchee, and Lucy Dacus, with more TBA.
Along with the announced festival, the band is also slated to release a new album “I’ll Be Your Girl” on March 16th and will follow up the new material with a tour with dates set for both North America and Europe.
The North American run kicks off on March 22nd at the Fox Theatre in Ponoma, CA and wraps on June 23rd at the Edgefield in Troutdale, Or. European and UK dates start on Nov. 4th with a show at Vicar Street in Dublin and wrap on Nov. 16th at Astra in Berlin. – Staff Writers
