HARRISBURG, Ill. (CelebrityAccess) There’s no escaping Mason Ramsey, the kid who yodeled for a bit in an aisle of a Walmart store.

Ramsey, 11, says he’s been yodeling since he was three years old.

Yesterday, Walmart proclaimed April 11 “Mason Ramsey Day” and presented him in concert (see video) in Harrisburg, Ill., with Ramsey shouting at the end “If the good Lord’s willing and the creeks don’t rise, I’ll see you all again next time,” according to Time magazine.

He’s already been on the Ellen Show and – get this – has a performance slot lined up at the Grand Ole Opry. Check him out April `4. https://www.opry.com/artist/mason-ramsey

Ramsey sang Hank Williams’ “Lovesick Blues” at a store in Harrisburg and now Williams’ version of the song has reached No. 22 on Spotify’s Global Viral 50 chart. The 1949 recording is a version of a song first published in 1922, meaning Ramsey has resurrected a song that is nearly 100 years old.
