LONDON, UK (CelebrityAccess) – London-based tech company MelodyVR went live with its concert viewing app this week. Described as the world’s first dedicated virtual reality (VR) music platform, the MelodyVR app allows fans to watch concerts live from the comfort of their homes.
The best part? The app allows users to switch between a number of different vantage points, in some instances even providing a stage view.
The company has already forged partnerships with a vast array of labels including Warner Music Group, publishers, and artists such as 2 Chainz, Rag’n’Bone Man, Niall Horan, and the Chainsmokers.
Alex Pall of Chainsmokers said: “We had this great opportunity to work with MelodyVR on our European tour which was very exciting because we put a lot of work into our show and production. We travel with videographers year-round capturing our show but the footage they were able to get and angles is unlike anything we have ever seen and we are in the show ourselves.”
