Marilyn Manson Misses A Show With The Flu

TORONTO (CelebrityAccess) — Goth rock legend Marilyn Manson pulled out of a performance at the Budweiser Stage at the eleventh hour, citing illness.

“Due to unforeseen illness, Marilyn Manson will not be performing tonight in Toronto, ON. If you were in attendance specifically to see Marilyn Manson, your tickets will be available for refund at point of purchase. Rob Zombie will perform as scheduled,” a post on Manson’s Twitter account said.

Manson is currently on the road as part of a double headlining tour with Rob Zombie, who, we’re told, pulled extra duty with Manson out sick. Consequence of Sound reported that Rob Zombie indulged the fans with an extra long set and even covered a cover of the Eurythmics hit “Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)” which Manson usually covers during his sets.

A subsequent tweet from Team Manson clarified that he’d been laid low with a bout of the flu but will be sufficiently recovered in time for his next show.

“Marilyn Manson was unable to perform on his and Rob Zombie’s Twins Of Evil tour in Toronto last night due to the flu. Manson is recovering and is set to perform at all scheduled dates starting tomorrow at Heavy Montreal,” the tweet on Manson’s Twitter feed said today.
