SYDNEY, NSW (CelebrityAccess) — Queen frontman and former American Idol competitor Adam Lambert has been announced as a judge for the Australian edition of The X Factor.
Adam will join previously announced judges Iggy Azalea and Guy Sebastian for the televised talent competition.
Channel Seven’s Director of Production, Brad Lyons says: “Adam is truly a world class artist, performing on some of the biggest stages in the world. He knows first-hand how hard that first break can be. His experience and passion will be invaluable for our contestants.”
Lambert, who has gone on to become a major recording artist, finished in second place during American Idol's 8th season and has since gone on to sell more than 2.5 million albums and is currently fronting for the rock band Queen who will be hitting the road for a tour of Asia later this year.
He's also currently slated to star as Eddie in Fox's reboot of the Rocky Horror Picture Show. – Staff Writers
