(CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — News has spread quickly through the punk music world that the bassist for Rancid and the Transplants has been diagnosed with lung cancer.
Warped Tour founder Kevin Lyman announced during a Warped Tour press conference earlier in the week that bassist Matt Freeman had been diagnosed with cancer and will not be performing on the tour with the Transplants.
The group, made up of Freeman, Travis Barker, Tim Armstrong and Rob Aston, were scheduled to play a surprise set at the press conference and pre-party but cancelled in wake of the news. –by CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
