Clear Channel To Hire A Lobbyist

In an effort to combat allegations made against parent company Clear Channel Communications, among them forcing acts to perform in Clear Channel Entertainment-owned or operated by its Clear Channel Entertainment and payola-like activity, the entertainment giant is looking to hire a lobbyist.

According to sources, shortlisted are Andy Levin, the House Energy and Commerce Committee's Democratic telecommunications lawyer, who helped write the bill that deregulated the radio industry.
